The Cockapoo is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Toy or Miniature Poodle. The Cocker is a great, loyal, loving breed and the Poodle is a smart, non shedding breed. The F1B Cockapoo is 3/4 Poodle and 1/4 Cocker which is great for families that suffer from allergies because they tend to have more of a wavy to curly coat which is non shedding. The Cockapoo was one of the first mix breeds that was created in the 1950’s. This breed was been a sought after ever since. They are easy to train, loyal companions that love belly rubs and long walks. Cockapoos are great for all ages and can easily adapt to apartment life, suburbs or farm life. The USA Cockapoo standard is a short tail to match the Poodle or Cocker lineage, however there is a growing trend for a long natural tail with is a European standard.
